Our N95 Respirator Mask Fit Testing service is designed for healthcare professionals, first responders, students, and individuals who are required to wear N95 respirators in their workplace. This in-person testing uses the qualitative Bitrex method to determine whether an N95 respirator provides a proper seal against the wearer's face, helping ensure effective respiratory protection.

During the appointment, participants will undergo a sensitivity screening followed by a series of standardized exercises, including normal and deep breathing, head movements, speaking, and bending. These exercises help determine whether the respirator maintains an adequate seal during normal workplace activities.

Our trained fit testers provide a professional and efficient testing experience using established qualitative fit testing procedures. We offer testing for commonly used N95 respirators, including the 3M 1860, 1860S, and Aura 1870+ models.

Fit testing is generally required at least every two years under applicable Canadian respiratory protection requirements, or sooner if there are changes to facial features, respirator models, or specific workplace requirements.

Upon successful completion, participants will be sent a fit test record identifying the respirator model, size, testing date, and results. The fit test record is generally valid for 2 years, subject to workplace requirements and any changes affecting respirator fit.

Please note that we require 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a registration.
