How Many Days Is First Aid Training?

No Prior Medical Training Required

You do not need any previous medical training to take a Standard First Aid CPR Level C with AED course. Our curriculum is designed for beginners, ensuring that everyone can learn essential life-saving skills, regardless of experience.

Is First Aid Training Mandatory for Your Workplace?

In Ontario, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) requires that any worksite with six or more employees have at least one worker certified in Standard First Aid CPR Level C with AED. At Holmes Safety Training, our certifications are valid for three years, meeting WSIB compliance standards.

What to Expect in Your First Aid Course

✔ Realistic Emergency Simulations – Be prepared for audio-visual materials that simulate real-life emergencies. Some individuals may find certain content emotionally challenging.

✔ Hands-On Training – The in-person portion of the course includes practical exercises where students will be required to kneel on the floor. We recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing, such as trousers and flat-bottomed shoes.

✔ Medical Accommodations – If you have a medical condition that may prevent you from completing certain hands-on demonstrations, please inform Holmes Safety Training in advance. For instance, if you have had recent knee surgery, we can arrange for you to practice CPR on a table instead of the floor.

Why First Aid Training is Essential

Taking a first aid course could be one of the most important things you ever do. It equips you with the knowledge, confidence, and skills to respond to an emergency, potentially saving a life.
